Zhaoxing Scenic Area is a stunning Dong village nestled in the mountains of southeastern Guizhou, China. A true hidden-gem for visitors to China.
About Zhaoxing
Zhaoxing is the largest Dong town and is a beautiful town to visit in Guizhou.
The town is famous for it's 5 drum towers that represent the 5 manners, as well as the views around it.
A short hike up the river will take you into the rice terraces. Hike up the path and you'll have a stunning viewpoint for sunset with the town nestled into the foothills of the rice terraces.
If you're feeling up to it, you can also take that hike further. Go on for about 2.5-ish hours up the hill and you'll find 2 more, smaller, Dong villages.
Zhaoxing is the perfect destination for those seeking an authentic cultural experience off the beaten path.
