Hefang Street in Hangzhou is a bustling and historic street that offers a glimpse into ancient Chinese culture.

About Hefang Street

With its cobbled streets, traditional Chinese medicine halls, and old-timey stores, Hefang Street is a tourist street that is designed to offer a brief representation into what life was like in old Hangzhou.

While the street has become more and more commercial over the years, it is a nice place to wander and grab some street food - especially if you're open to trying some of the more adventurous options like snake and scorpion.

Head towards the east side of the road, hook a right up the small hill and you'll reach a small temple type place for a little respite from the crowds.

Getting to Hefang Street

The street sits at the base of the Chenghuang Pavilion and is easily reachable by metro, taxi or walking.
