Message from Alex Stead

Lion Rock, a mountain in Hong Kong, is known for its distinctive shape resembling a crouching lion. Rising 495 meters high, it offers a challenging hiking trail with stunning views of the city and Hong Kong Island.

The Lion Rock Hong Kong Hike is about 6.9km for the loop trail. The total duration for the hike was 2-3 hours depending on how long you spend at the top. I would say you need a good level of fitness to do, depending on the humidity and temperature. Bring lots of water! the trail does get steep.

The Lion Rock hike can begin at the Wong Tai Sin MTR Station or you can get a taxi to Fat Jong Temple which saves you a bit up hill.
