Scheveningen is a seaside resort town located in The Hague. It is a popular tourist destination, known for its long sandy beach, pier, and promenade and can easily be reached from The Hague in only 10 minutes by car or public transport.
The town is also home to a variety of attractions, including the Sea Life Scheveningen aquarium, the Circustheater, and the Museum Beelden aan Zee. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops to explore, as well as a vibrant nightlife.
Although it can be a bit more crowded than neighboring Kijkduin, lively Scheveningen is perfect for a day or weekend visit because of its abundance of attractions and beach clubs. With its vibrant boulevard, Ferris wheel on the recently renovated Pier with foodhall and multitude of shops and restaurants it’s the perfect combination of city-and beach life!
The famous Pier of Scheveningen is a true icon on the Dutch coast, extending 400 meters into the sea, with a big restaurant at the end including a bungee jump tower and newly built Ferris wheel towering over the sea, it slightly resembles the famous Santa Monica pier. Especially all lit up at night with sunset views like ours it is a stunning sight. And a ride on the Ferris wheel with impressive views over the coast line and the whole of Scheveningen to both sides can not be missed!
