Some don't realize that the whole west side of Noord- and Zuid-Holland is bordered by the North Sea, and therefore lined with many endless and mostly quiet beaches. I prefer the ones in Kijkduin, just next to The Hague, for their nature and purity, much more quiet than nearby touristy Scheveningen.

Kijkduin is a seaside town with a lovely extensive boulevard and long stretches of dunes with plenty of walking and cycling paths. You can easily access the dunes here from several entries in local neighborhoods. And the main boulevard is easy to access too with several parking garages and a big food market and shopping mall.

Kijkduin offers a wide range of activities such as swimming, sunbathing, and windsurfing. And also has plenty of beach clubs, restaurants, cafes, and shops. It's known for its beautiful sandy beaches, extensive dune area and stunning views of the sea.
