Just look at that photo, my pic of Katoomba Falls is still one of my favorite screensavers to date. The waterfall has such an angelic quality to it, with its vibrant colors, the rugged rock face, and the lush plant life growing around it. This waterfall is pure magic.

To reach Katoomba Falls, you’ll need to walk a tiny bit, but the reward is totally worth it. Start from Scenic World and follow the Katoomba Falls Access Track, which connects to the Prince Henry Cliff Walk. The walk is just about 750 meters one way and takes roughly 10 minutes, short and sweet. As you reach the falls, take your time to soak in the beauty of the cascading water and the surrounding landscape.

If you’re up for a bit more exploration, there are several nearby lookouts that offer stunning views and different perspectives of the falls and the valley. Check out Duke and Duchess of York Lookout, The Watchtower, Katoomba Falls Lookout, Solitary Lookout, Orphan Rock Lookout, and Vaniman's Lookout. Each one provides a unique angle on the breathtaking scenery. The area is stunning, and the short trails around these lookouts are perfect for taking in as much of the beauty as possible. There's a map available at Scenic World, but the trails are easy to navigate.
