Mackenzie Falls in the Grampians National Park is a must-visit spot for nature lovers and waterfall enthusiasts. This is one of the most popular waterfalls in the area and drops around 40 meters into the Mackenzie River below, making it one of the largest waterfalls in Victoria.

The hike to this iconic waterfall is about a 2-kilometer round trip, and it’s worth every step. The trail is a bit steep and rocky, but fairly easy and managable for all fitness levels plus the views along the way make it all worthwhile. As you descend toward the falls, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the surrounding gorge and lush forest. When you finally reach the base, the sheer power and roar of the falls are absolutely exhilarating. The mist from the cascading water creates a refreshing spray that’s perfect on a warm day. There’s also an option to take a longer loop trail if you’re feeling adventurous, which adds another 2 kilometers to your trek and offers even more breathtaking scenery.
