The Cathedral Rock Summit Trail via the Ferrata trail is an absolutely wonderful adventure! This trail takes you on a stunning journey to the top of Cathedral Rock, offering some of the most incredible views you'll find in the New South Wales high country. This trail is 5.5 kilometers in total.  The climb begins at the Barokee campground with a challenging ascent that’ll get your heart racing, but the panoramic vistas at the summit are so worth the effort.

The trail itself is well-marked, but be prepared for a bit of rock scrambling and some steep inclines. Just before the summit, you get to add an extra thrill to the hike with some rock scrambling featuring iron rungs and cables to help you navigate the steeper sections. It’s a bit of a scramble and requires a head for heights, but it’s all part of the fun. The summit rewards you with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape, rolling hills, rugged ridges, and endless skies. The sense of accomplishment when you reach the top is unbeatable, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Just make sure you bring plenty of water and wear sturdy shoes, as the trail can be a bit rough.
