Hot Spring
Hot Spring
All ages
My favorite hot springs in all of Australia! The crystal-clear waters of Bitter Springs are fed by natural thermal springs, creating a blissful haven for swimming and relaxation. The water maintains a temperature of 32 degrees Celsius all year round. These pools are only accessible during the dry season so make sure you plan your visit from April to November.
Accessing the crystal-clear waters of Bitter Springs is a breeze, with a short 500-meter walk from the car park leading you straight to the water's edge. There's an entrance with stairs that make it easy to get in and out of the 32-degree water. The steady downstream flow lets you float effortlessly to the end, where you can exit using more stairs.
As you float along the gently flowing stream, surrounded by lush greenery and towering paperbark trees, you'll feel a sense of tranquility wash over you. Bitter Springs is not just a place to cool off, it's a place to reconnect with nature and unwind in its soothing embrace. Don't forget your snorkeling gear and a pool noodle to spot some fish and turtles!
