Moss Garden in Carnarvon Gorge is a stunning highlight of the park, celebrated for its lush, verdant beauty. The spot is accessible via a 7-kilometer return trail, winding through diverse rainforests and rocky outcrops. The hike to Moss Garden is relatively easy, offering a serene walk that leads you to a magical setting where mosses, ferns, and cascading water create a tranquil oasis. The garden itself is a hidden gem, with soft light filtering through the canopy to enhance the vibrant green hues of the moss-covered rocks. It’s a fantastic place to pause and marvel at the intricate details of this unique ecosystem. I’d recommend visiting this spot as part of the full trail through the gorge, but if you’re up for a shorter walk, it’s a fantastic option on its own.
