You’ll need to book and pay for a campsite or caravan park when staying in Alice Springs. Stealth camping in this town is not recommended due to safety concerns, especially at night, and there are no free campsites in the area. I stayed at the Alice Springs Tourist Park, which was $35.00 for an unpowered site at the time. The park offered showers, laundry facilities, and a secure environment, which I found reassuring as a solo female traveller.
