Currumbin Rock Pools are one of my favorite hidden gems. Nestled in the lush hinterland, these rock pools offer a refreshing escape from the coastal buzz. I love heading up here on a sunny day, where you can take a dip in the clear, cool waters or just relax by the rocks. The natural setting is perfect for a picnic or a chill afternoon with friends. There’s something magical about the way the sunlight filters through the trees and dances on the water.

The large pool area is where most families and visitors hang out, with rocks to climb and jump from, just be sure to check the depths before you leap. For a more secluded experience, take a stroll upstream and find a peaceful spot to soak up the sun. I’ve visited this spot multiple times, and its busyness varies, but it’s generally a lot quieter compared to the beaches along the coast. In my opinion, it has so much more natural beauty to offer. Oh, and keep an eye out for cows; I once stumbled upon a herd of them chilling way upstream, which was an amazing and unexpected experience!
