Killen Falls, just a short drive from Byron Bay, is a tranquil paradise that feels like a slice of lush green heaven. This beautiful spot features a 10-meter waterfall cascading into a serene swimming hole, all surrounded by a vibrant ecosystem of native plants and wildlife. The falls are part of the Killen Falls Nature Reserve, which is managed to preserve its natural beauty. The walk to the falls is super short, making it an easy adventure to reach. When I visited, the water was quite shallow, but this can change depending on recent rainfall, so keep an eye on the conditions. Watch your step, as there are some big rocks that might surprise you! With its stunning natural beauty and peaceful vibe, Killen Falls is a perfect spot to unwind and snap some great photos during your travels.
