Sheoak Falls nestled just a few kilometers outside of Lorne along the Great Ocean Road, is a serene waterfall that’s well worth a stop. The 15-meter cascade plunges into a deep pool surrounded by lush ferns and bracken, creating a picturesque setting that’s perfect for a peaceful escape. To get there, it's a leisurely 15-minute walk from the carpark, Oh and make sure you check out Swallow Cave which is further up the trail. For those itching for a bit more adventure, you can extend your visit with a 2-hour return walk to Castle Rock Lookout. This longer trail rewards you with stunning ocean views that are truly spectacular.
While the falls themselves are lovely, I have to say the real highlight for me was the scenic walk from the car park to the falls. The views of the mountain, ocean, and road all coming together looked like something straight out of a postcard, making it my favorite spot for the perfect pic of the Great Ocean Road.
