Springbrook National Park is a magical escape from reality, just a short drive from the Gold Coast. It’s like stepping into a lush, ancient rainforest where everything feels a bit more mystical. I used to visit this park on my days off work, and I’m always blown away by its beauty. There are so many fantastic hikes to explore, including the Twin Falls Circuit, which takes you behind waterfalls and through the thickest, greenest forest you can imagine. This trail winds past the impressive Twin Falls and connects with the longer Warrie Circuit for even more spectacular rainforest views.
Another gem is the Purlingbrook Falls Circuit, where you can marvel at one of the park's tallest waterfalls. The Natural Bridge Circuit leads you to a waterfall plunging through a rock arch into a hidden pool, it's like something straight out of a fairytale. Don’t miss the Gorge Falls and Waterfall Creek Circuit; they’re also worth exploring. For a complete list of trails, definitely check out AllTrails. One of my personal highlights is the Best of All Lookout, which offers jaw-dropping views of the hinterland and the coast. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, but the scenery is absolutely worth it. Just be ready for cooler temps and a bit of mist; the rainforest loves to keep things mysterious.
