If you're exploring Karijini National Park, don't miss out on the epic Mount Bruce hike! This peak in the Hamersley Range, northwest WA, stands tall at 4,052 feet, known to the locals as Punurrunha or Bunurrunha. The trail covers a total of 10 kilometers round trip and promises some seriously jaw-dropping views. On average this trail will take 3 to 5 hours.

When I tackled this hike, I decided to embrace the early bird life and set off before sunrise. Trust me, catching the sun peeking over the horizon from the summit is pure magic. I gave myself a tight 2-hour window to reach the top before sunrise but I barely made it so if you are planning to say good morning to the sun at the peak factor in some extra time for unexpected trail adventures.

The trek starts off easy for the first stretch, but be ready to channel your inner mountain goat with some rock scrambling further on. The effort is totally worth it, though, as the scenery of the surrounding orange landscape is nothing short of mind-blowing.

Hiking up Mount Bruce is easily in the top 10 favs list from my WA adventures. The views, the vibes, pure gold!
