Shaldon is a charming village in Devon, England, nestled on the south bank of the River Teign opposite Teignmouth.

The village has a small population of around 1,700 residents and is definitely less commercial than some other local towns and villages. Many of the families here still are involved in or have strong links to the fishing community.

Shaldon has a great historic regatta, beautiful Homeyards Botanical Gardens, and the quirky Shaldon Castle folly. The beach is perfect for swimming, paddle boarding or rock pooling, and nearby you also have Teignmouth beach, or Ness Beach which is still accessed by a historic smugglers tunnel.
