Instow is a charming village in North Devon, nestled where the rivers Taw and Torridge meet. With its small river beach, sand dunes, and rare orchids, it's a picturesque spot for nature lovers. The Tarka Trail runs through Instow, making it easy for visitors to explore on foot or by bike. History buffs will appreciate the 13th/14th-century Church of St John the Baptist, while railway enthusiasts can check out the famous Grade II listed signal box. Plus, during the summer, you can hop on a ferry across the estuary to Appledore for a day trip.
