Chagford is a charming market town located on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon, England.
The town has a rich history, dating back thousands of years, and was once a hub for the wool trade and tin mining. Today, Chagford is a thriving community with bustling streets, a wide range of shops, and a vibrant arts scene. It's known for its annual festivals, such as Chagfilm and Chagstock, as well as its quaint tea rooms, cozy pubs, and beautiful historic landmarks like St Michael's church.
There are many beautiful walks in the area, primarily along the River Teign, which is especially beautiful in the summer, or in the autumn when the colours just pop. The outdoor community swimming pool is also really worth a visit in the summer, having been recently renovated.
Whether you're looking to explore the great outdoors or immerse yourself in the local culture, Chagford has something for everyone.
