Cascade Mountain is simply the most iconic mountain in Banff and a symbol of the Canadian Rockies.
Hiking up makes for a long and challenging day, but the views from 2,998 meters are absolutely stunning and you'll feel like you're on top of the world. The total lenght is around 20 km with almost 1600 meters of elevation gain.
If you want to tackle this big objective, note that the summit must be clear of snow. Some seasons, there is only a short window of time in July/August when the conditions are safe for summiting.
