The easiest way to get to Mt. Yoshino is by taking the ropeway. Just keep in mind that it's closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, as well as during the winter. The round trip costs 800 yen and might be crowded during the Sakura and Momiji seasons.

If you arrive when it's closed, you'll either have to hike up the mountain on foot or catch a shuttle bus from the station. The bus service is quite irregular and suspended between February and March.
