Hozenji Yokocho is an impossibly atmospheric and beautiful alleyway. It was named after the nearby Hozen-ji temple and is home to more than 60 traditional and restored shops and restaurants. Step inside, and you'll be stepping back 200 years, with stone-paved lanes and lantern-lit restaurants. Not to mention the famous moss-covered statue of Fudo-Myoo in the Hozen-ji temple. Stop by for dinner or lunch and admire the old-style architecture, shopfronts, and beautifully lit streets.
