Message from Empty Japan

One of my favorite restaurants in the area, which is almost 150 years old and has a wide variety of dishes for every taste. I always order either the Unadon (grilled eel bowl) or the Nabe (hot pot), and I am never disappointed.

Another reason I love this restaurant is that there are almost never any lines because it is located away from the crowds of tourists. The last time I was there during lunch on Saturday, and half the tables were free.

Last time I checked, they did not have open hours scheduled on their Google Maps page, so I asked the lady who works there:

OPEN Everyday (except ❌ WEDNESDAY) 11:00 - 17:00

It looks like a family-owned place, and it is wonderful, but with such restaurants in Japan, there is always a possibility that they might open a bit later or close down a bit earlier than scheduled.
