Jedburgh Abbey, a ruined Augustinian abbey founded in the 12th century, is located in Jedburgh, Scottish Borders. It was established by Prince David before he became king and later upgraded to a monastery dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Over the years, it faced destruction and pillaging, especially during the Scottish Reformation in 1560. Today, it is a scheduled monument under the care of Historic Environment Scotland, attracting visitors interested in its rich history and architectural beauty.
