Message from Kieran - Exploring Scotland

The National Windrush Monument is a bronze sculpture located in Waterloo Station, London. Designed by Basil Watson, it was unveiled in June 2022 by Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. The monument pays tribute to the British West Indian immigrants who arrived in the UK on the HMT Empire Windrush in 1948, known as the Windrush generation. It features an inscription listing the members of the Windrush Committee and a poem by Laura Serrant titled "You Called... and We Came."
