Did you know that you that you can also go behind the scenes of the Natural History Museum to see hidden areas of the museum as well as learn about some of it’s fascinating secrets? There are many other private tours the museum runs, have a look on their website and you can book online too (different price for the different tours). Examples of tours we've done and loved:
The Secrets of the Natural History Museum tour takes you on a journey to learn about the history of the building itself. Built in the late 1800s, it’s one of Britain’s most striking examples of Romanesque architecture.
The Spirit Collection Tour is a behind-the-scenes tour that takes you to meet some of the most weird and wonderful specimens that the Museum is home to. You’ll also get the chance to see specimens collected by Charles Darwin himself!
