Grant Bay is a recreation site and probably one of the most remote beaches on Vancouver Island.

This massive white sand beach sits in a secluded bay and has mountain views. It is a sight to behold!

The beach is extremely remote and located at the northernmost tip of Vancouver Island - a 7 hour drive from Victoria.

The road from Port Hardy to Grant Bay is a 83 km, 2 hour drive down a very rough logging road. A 4x4 vehicle with high clearance is needed.

There are no services and no cell phone signal when traveling here. So ensure to carry all the necessary safety gear, map out gas stations, download maps/carry paper maps and carry a satellite phone/GPS messenger.

Best times to visit are between May and September.

AllTrails hike linked here.

The hike is rated as easy. Length 1 km, elevation 47 m, route type out-and-back.
