Castel Coira in Schluderns – A Medieval Gem in the Vineyards
Castel Coira, also known as Churburg, is a stunning medieval castle located above the village of Schluderns in the Vinschgau Valley, surrounded by picturesque vineyards. Built in the 13th century, the castle is famous for housing one of the largest private collections of medieval armor in Europe.
Visitors can explore the castle only through guided tours, which last around 50 to 60 minutes.
Opening Hours & Guided Tours
Season Start 2025: The castle reopens to visitors on March 20, 2025.
Tour Times: Guided tours in German take place Tuesday to Sunday at 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:30 PM.
Closed on Mondays, except on public holidays.
