Hike
Hike
4-6h
This scenic and fairly easy circular hike leads from the top station of the cable car in Robièi past Lake Robièi and Lake Bianco to the Cavagnoli dam.
In addition to the idyllic mountain lakes and lonely alpine meadows, the route also offers great views of numerous steep peaks in the Ticino Alps such as the Pizzo Cavangöö or the Cima di Lago as well as the Basodino glacier.
After taking the cable car to the foot of the Basodino glacier in around 15 minutes, you follow the easy road into the Valle di Lielpe. You hike along the shore of Lake Robièi for a while and then follow the valley to the north.
The original beauty of the Alpine landscape is enriched by unique flora and fauna.
After crossing the alpine pasture and walking along the piercing blue waters of Lago Bianco, the last section of the road leads steeply uphill to the Cavagnoli dam. Once you have passed this, there is a final steep climb and then the well-deserved descent back to Robièi.
If you want, you can also hike to the Capanna Cristalina mountain hut (it is also possible to stay overnight there).
