The church is particularly beautiful during sunset, as the warm light illuminates the peaks behind it, creating a magical scene. Sunrise can also be stunning, especially for early risers seeking softer light and fewer people around.
Important Tips
Directly in front of the church is a grassy field that belongs to a local farmer. This field is private property, and it’s strictly prohibited to enter without permission. The farmer has been known to get very upset if anyone trespasses, and there are real consequences – we saw people fined €25 each for walking on the field after he initially demanded €100 from both!
The farmer explained that the grass is essential for his cows, and trampling it makes it unusable. However, drone photography is allowed as long as you don’t step onto the field. . Be mindful and stick to the paths to enjoy this beautiful location without any issues!
