After strolling through tall trees like stringybark and blackbutt, you'll come to a big platform at Wollomombi Main Falls lookout. From here, you get an amazing view of the rugged and beautiful landscape. One of the biggest attractions is Wollomombi Falls – it's one of Australia's largest waterfalls.
It drops 240 meters into a deep ravine where the Chandler and Wollomombi rivers meet. Keep an eye out for wedge-tailed eagles soaring high before diving down into the gorge to hunt. The dark green patches you see are dry rainforests, which are important homes for many different animals in the Macleay Gorge system.
