Nonstinden offers a stunning view of Ballstad. This is a fun hike through a varied terrain, where you will be too busy looking at the views to notice that you are tired. There are several trails to the top from Kræmmervikveien. At the start you can choose to follow the ridge up to Ballstadheia or walk slightly back towards the road to follow the trail that cuts diagonally towards the ridge. Ballstadheia is a shorter alternative which is reached after 200 meters elevation. May be just enough if it's a lot of snow :)

When you get to this point you have completed the steepest parts of the hike, and from here on the incline is more moderate. The trails are defined and signs point to which path to choose to avoid the most exposed section.
