The Reykjavík Botanical Garden is the perfect outdoor destination for plant lovers! Established in 1961 and run by the City of Reykjavík, it housing over 3,000 plant species across eight collections. Here you can explore Iceland’s fascinating vegetation with a variety of events taking place during the summer. Throughout the year you can also arrange for group receptions at the beautiful park. There's something for everyone here and it's definitely worth checking out on your next Reykjavík visit!

I personally enjoy walking through botanical gardens as I am very interested in plants but also for everyone who is not interested in plants there will be something to see. The relaxing atmosphere is something everyone can enjoy. If you are thirsty there is a cozy café in the middle of the park.
