Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve is a stunning spot nestled in a rugged glen in County Cork, Ireland. Covering 300 hectares, the reserve boasts ancient oak woodlands and regenerating areas cleared of non-native conifers. It's like stepping into a fairytale with dramatic mountain views and smooth rocks shaped by glaciers. Once part of Lord Bantry's estate, the woods are now owned by NPWS for conservation and leisure. Visitors can enjoy walking trails, spot unique Hiberno-lusitanian plants, and maybe even catch a glimpse of the majestic White Tailed Sea Eagles soaring above. It's a nature lover's paradise waiting to be explored!
