Loughcrew Cairns, also known as the Hills of the Witch, are a group of ancient Neolithic passage tombs located near Oldcastle in County Meath. Dating back to 3000 BC, these tombs are spread across four rolling peaks and are a treasure trove of Neolithic art and design. Cairn T, one of the largest tombs in the complex, features a stunning cruciform chamber with intricate carvings that showcase the artistic skills of our ancestors. Visitors can soak up the history and mythology of these fascinating monuments on guided tours while taking in the breathtaking views from this high point of ancient Irish heritage.
