Message from Irishpix

Moore Hall, located in County Mayo, Ireland, was the grand estate of the Moore family, who played significant roles in Irish history. Built between 1792 and 1795, the house was designed by architect John Roberts and overlooks Lough Carra. Unfortunately, it was burned down during the Irish Civil War in 1923. Today, the property is owned by Coillte and is a popular visitor attraction, although the house itself remains closed to the public due to its deteriorated condition. Efforts are underway to restore parts of the estate and create new visitor facilities, preserving the legacy of the Moore family for future generations.
