Message from Jandre Germishuizen

The Zambezi Region, formerly known as the Caprivi Region, is located in the north-eastern part of Namibia along the Zambezi River. With its capital in Katima Mulilo, this region is a tropical paradise with high temperatures and rainfall, making it the wettest area in Namibia. Home to diverse wildlife and lush vegetation, the Zambezi Region offers a unique blend of swamps, floodplains, and woodlands for visitors to explore. From game-watching in national parks like Bwabwata and Nkasa Rupara to bird-watching adventures, this region is a nature lover's dream come true. With a population of around 142,000, the Zambezi Region is a vibrant hub of culture and tradition, where subsistence farmers rely on the rivers for their livelihoods.
