Boca Catalina is a local favorite beach on the north side of the island. It's best known for its crystal-clear water and coral reefs, perfect for snorkeling. In this area, there are various wildlife species such as turtles, sea stars, and if you're lucky, you can spot manta rays. On the beach, there are a few palapas (palm huts) offering shade.
This is one of the most popular beaches on the island, and it's not very big, so it's advisable to avoid weekends if you want to visit without encountering big crowds. If you walk further down, there is an entirely different beach area to explore.
