Taman Ujung is a former water palace located in the Karangasem region, approximately 2 hours from Ubud. It was designed by a Dutch-Chinese architect in 1909 and is considered one of the largest historical landmarks in Bali. With its beautiful historical buildings and water pools, Taman Ujung is a fantastic place to explore. In my opinion, it offers a more scenic and less crowded experience compared to the popular Tirta Gangga water palace.
We arrived early in the morning when the palace opened, and there were only a few visitors. If you're visiting East Bali, Taman Ujung is definitely worth adding to your itinerary along with other sights such as Lempuyan Temple, Tirta Gangga, and Bukit Cinta.
