Der Nidarosdom in Trondheim zählt zu den bedeutendsten Kirchen in Norwegen und gilt als Nationalheiligtum. Weil hier der Schrein von Olaf dem Heiligen hinter dem Hochaltar stand, trug der Dom auch den Beinamen »Herz Norwegens«. Der Name Nidaros stammt von dem früheren Namen Trondheims ab.
