If you’re looking for a short and easy hike in Moab that’s fit for the whole family, check out Sand Dune Arch and Broken Arch. The trail out to the arches is well-defined and relatively flat, so it’s easy to follow, however be prepared to encounter sand. It’s a great low-effort, high-reward hike that can be done any time of the year.
After hiking across open terrain you’ll find Sand Dune tucked into the side of a sandstone fin. The area around Sand Dune Arch is surrounded by sand (shocker!), so it’s a fun area to explore with kids.
