If you’re not up for a big hike in Canyonlands, but still want breathtaking views, then check out the Upheaval Dome Trail. The trail takes you to two viewpoints overlooking the Upheaval Dome, which is a unique geologic feature that scientists aren’t 100% sure about how it formed (although there are a couple of theories).
The majority of the hike to the Upheaval Dome overlook traverses slickrock, and there are a couple of steep pitches if you head out to the second overlook. Overall, the hike is relatively easy, but may be challenging for small children.
