It’s hard to kick off a list of the best hikes in Southern Utah with any trail other than Delicate Arch. This is arguably the most iconic hike in Utah, with the trail’s namesake arch prominently featured on the state license plate.
The trail to Delicate Arch is a great introduction to hiking in the desert. It’s short, easy to follow, and the terrain alternates between sand and slickrock. The star of the hike is, of course, Delicate Arch. While there’s often a line to take photos at the arch, it’s a pretty epic geological formation and worth the wait to memorialize your trip to Moab.
