The Sawyer Burn Track is an 8 km long route steeped in nature and adventure! It starts at Shelley Beach, located 6 km along Meads Road and then zigzags up through the forest to the bushline until it sidles around the hill to reach Sawyer Burn Hut. Here hikers can take a break and admire the breathtaking views of Lake Hāwea and its surrounding mountains. With its terrain that can produce avalanches, the track should only be attempted by experienced trampers.
