The Three Sisters and Elephant Rock, located on the North Taranaki Coast of New Zealand, is a stunning coastal zone of unique rock formations that can only be visited at low tide.

This is one of the fastest eroding sections of coast line in New Zealand, and the three sisters actually used to be four towering 25 high metre "sister" rocks. Elephant rock also sadly lost its trunk in 2016, but despite this it remains a fun and wild spot to explore.

A must see for any traveler looking for an active exploring experience or picturesque photos, the Three Sisters provide amazing views at low tide when one can fully appreciate the scale and sheer magnificence of these awe-inspiring formations. On a clear day you can also see Mount Taranaki across the ocean, a rather unique sight.
