Redwoods Forest, Whakarewarewa is a unique forest of naturalised coastal redwood trees provides a tranquil atmosphere to explore and relax. In addition to the tall redwood trees, visitors are able to also appreciate an array of exotic tree species planted in 1901 during a forestry experiment. Avid hikers can take advantage of the walking track developed at the site while families with an adventurous spirit can enjoy the Redwoods Treewalk canopy walkway, suspended between the beautiful redwoods. The night time show of coloured spotlights illuminating some of the forest floor vegetation and tree ferns ensures that guests leave with lasting memories.
