7 hour return day hike to the top of the Coromandel ranges. Many adventures stay at the hut to catch sunrise/sunset (must book)

Further information The Pinnacles Walk is an intermediate grade hike in the Coromandel region of New Zealand's North Island. This popular overnight walk rises through mountain passes and culminates at the top of the Pinnacles, where stunning 360-degree views of both coasts, the Bay of Plenty, and the Hauraki Gulf and Plains can be seen best at sunrise. The track was once used by kauri loggers and follows a historic packhorse route from the Kauaeranga Visitor Centre to Kauaeranga Roadend. Along the way, hikers will be enchanted by the vines and lush foliage of the valley. To experience the full majesty of the Pinnacles and make the most of this incredible journey, hikers may choose to stay at the Pinnacles hut and take guided walks with locally renowned tour operators.
