We woke up at 6am to get to the Great Wall of Mutianyu at the opening hour.

We pre-booked a taxi for 45€ from Beijing and we had the Great Wall just for us.

The Great Wall of China is a series of fortifications built along the northern borders of ancient Chinese states and Imperial China to protect against nomadic groups from the Eurasian Steppe. It dates back to the 7th century BC, with the most famous sections constructed during the Ming dynasty. Stretching over 13,000 miles, the Great Wall features watchtowers, troop barracks, and served as a transportation corridor. Today, it's considered one of the most impressive architectural feats in history, showcasing China's rich history and culture.
