"Gira" is Lisbon's shared bicycles system, launched in 2017, which has been expanding over the past few years and becoming a viable alternative for tourists and residents to explore the city! Today, Lisbon counts on 200 km of dedicated bike lanes.

"Gira" is operated by EMEL, Lisbon's Municipal Mobility and Parking Company, and has over 130 stations distributed all over the municipality, totaling around 1,600 shared bicycles. The "Gira" app can be freely downloaded in any smart phone.

The day pass costs 2€, while the monthly pass costs 15€ and the annual pass, 25€. There are both conventional and electric bicycles available.
