The East Side Gallery is an incredible open-air art gallery on the banks of the Spree in the Friedrichshain district of Berlin. At 1316 metres long, it is the longest surviving stretch of the Berlin wall still in existence, and has attracted thousands of visitors from around the world. It contains over 100 stunning works of art by 118 artists from 21 countries, with some of the most famous pieces including 'The Fraternal Kiss' by Dmitri Vrubel and Birgit Kinder's 'Trabant breaking through the wall'. It's worth visiting for a tour of the fascinating history of Berlin, or just for a leisurely stroll to appreciate the beautiful artwork.
